平粮台龙山文化城址位于河南省淮阳县大连乡大朱行政村西南隅的台地上。此台据《淮阳县志》记载:“高两丈,大一顷,旧有四门,林木蔚然,不知何代建筑。”城址平面呈方形,总面积为5万余平方米。城内的文化层堆积厚达6米,共有10层,分五期。第1层分布不均,且较薄,其文化特征与偃师二里头下层文化堆积相似,被定为平粮台五期文化;第2～6层为平粮台四期文化(为平粮台较晚的龙山文化);第7～9层为平粮台三期文化(稍晚于古城墙的龙山史化);第10层为平粮台一期文化(为
