这是一块砂岩卵石,质地不算很坚润,但纹理呈图非常理想:一个立姿全身人物,侧身右向,后窄前宽,符合人物画的构图法则。纹理质朴,只以深浅不同的单色土黄表现对象,层次丰富,风格恬淡;人物轮廓清晰,其头面、颈领、胸背、腰臀、长裾,部位清楚,比例得当,形象上佳。人物垂臂颔首,似在静穆凝神,似在沉思踱步。身着长袍,从其衣领式样来看,似为僧袍,但看共头部,似戴圆帽,似留短发,不似僧尼。然而藏者为何赋名“佛缘”呢?原来“佛缘”之谓,未必佛家人物;一个人曾经修持佛法,或因心地善良,
