Objective To analyze the results of occupational health examination of benzene workers in a certain area to understand the related factors of occupational diseases and provide the basis for the prevention and control of occupational diseases. Methods 423 cases of benzene-related workers (contact group) and 423 workers without benzene exposure (control group) underwent routine blood tests, chest X-ray, B-mode ultrasonography and electrocardiogram. Results Compared with the control group, the counts of white blood cells, platelets and hemoglobin in 423 benzene-exposed workers in the exposure group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The levels of albumin (ALB) and bile acid ), Fasting blood glucose (FBG) and other indicators of liver function were significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Benzene workers exposed to benzene for a long time will have toxic effects on the body and significantly affect the number of blood cells and the metabolic index of liver function of practitioners, thus affecting the health of employees.
