陕2234是以陕5655×sp21杂交后代为母本，辽756－57为父本进行杂交，于枯、黄萎混生病圃连续选择培育而成。该品种纤维产量高，品质优良，兼抗枯、黄萎病，中熟偏早。1995～1997年，陕西省中熟棉区试，皮棉产量，较对照品种中棉19号增产13．3％，居参试品种首位。
Shan 2234 is a hybrid of Shaanxi 5655 × sp21 hybrids as the female parent and Liaoning 756-57 as the male parent. The varieties of high fiber yield, high quality, and anti-dry, Verticillium wilt, cooked in the early. From 1995 to 1997, middle-maturing cotton areas in Shaanxi Province tested cotton lint yield, which increased by 13.3% compared with that of the control variety Zhongmian 19, ranking first in the varieties tested.
