自五十年代以来,通过对脑的各区域用电刺激或局部破坏的方法,已证实在下丘脑的某些部位能影响胃酸分泌。到目前为止,对脑调节胃分泌的研究,虽然主要仍集中在对脑结构和神经通路方面;但对存在于脑、外周神经元和神经末梢中的某些肽类对胃酸分泌的影响,也越来越引起人们的注意。近来报道,某些脑肽在中枢神经系统内作为调制物参与调节胃酸分泌,其中有的还有细胞保护作用,能对抗应激性溃疡的发生,从而显示出重要的生理学意义。
