我国仍处于并将长期处于社会主义初级阶段。之所以说处于初级阶段,是因为我国的生产力还比较落后而且各个地区之间发展严重不平衡。而英语教育与地方经济的发展有密切联系,在我国各大城市,英语教育正在如火如荼地进行,反观农村的英语教学,却很难摆脱“边缘化”的现状。广大教育工作者应立足国情,突破瓶颈,努力推动农村英语教学质量稳步提高,缩短城乡英语教育差距。在任何情况下都要牢牢把握社会主义初级阶段 Our country is still in and will be in the primary stage of socialism for a long time. The reason why we are at an early stage is because our country’s productivity is still relatively backward and the development among various regions is seriously unbalanced. English education is closely related to the development of local economy. In all major cities in our country, English education is in full swing. On the contrary, English teaching in rural areas is hard to get rid of the status quo of marginalization. The majority of educators should be based on national conditions, breaking the bottleneck, and strive to promote the steady improvement of rural English teaching quality, shorten the gap between urban and rural English education. Under all circumstances, we must firmly grasp the initial stage of socialism
