The findings of Shu Sheen, a professor of plant pathology at the University of Kentucky, suggest that proteins extracted from tobacco leaves may be more human-friendly than egg white, cheese or milk. The soluble protein “fraction-1” extracted from tobacco leaf green grains is a balanced mixture of more major amino acids than many other foods. If carefully cultivated, tobacco produced per hectare of land can extract more than 200 kg of this odorless, odorless protein that can be processed to produce it
