在一般工厂里,凡有电弧焊接的地方,都存在着噪声、强烈弧光、有害气体和粉尘,它们对焊工的听觉、视觉和呼吸系统等产生不良的影响。中小型电焊车间里,噪声的来源,主要来自旋转直流弧焊机运转时产生的轰鸣声,虽然随着焊接设备的发展,硅整流焊接电源,逐步取代旋转直流弧焊机,使焊接车间的噪声基本消除;但目前在大部分工厂里,还有不少旋转直流弧焊机,还在那里运转着,它引起的噪声,对焊工的健康是十分有害的。埋弧焊工艺的应用,虽然强烈的弧光没有了,但是明弧焊接工艺,在目前说来还是主要的。所以弧光对于焊工的危害,有些车间仍存在着。在中小型电焊车间里,由于焊件的批量少、品种多,构件形状一般较小,焊接工作量多以手工电弧焊为主,生产场地一般比较狭小。因此,上述几种有害的影响,对焊工说来也更严重和直接一些。
