The two-piece tandem KTP frequency doubler with mutually perpendi-oular KZ planes has been studied both theoretically and experimentally.Its conversionefficiency of second harmonic generation(SHG)exceeds 80% and the dynamic range ismuch greater than that of monolithic KTP doubler at the laser power used in theexperiments.The experimental result shows that this doubler has excellent performancesand the second harmonic beam is elliptically polarized.
