1934年,一本名为《小先生的游记》的书籍在教育家陶行知的推荐下由上海儿童书局出版。此书在解放前再版十二次,一度被反动当局列为“禁书”。此书作者,当时是一位年仅13岁的农村孩子。这位被陶行知称为“小先生”的孩子名叫杨应彬。1937年,杨应彬受党组织派遣,赴张发奎司令部从事战地宣传、组织、统战、军事和党的地下工作,在张发奎部足足呆了10年。1949年,杨应彬就任中国人民解放军粤桂边纵队参谋长。15岁成为中国共产党员,数十载默默奉献。青丝成雪,如今,当年的“小先生”已老,一路留下的足迹,只能在他所著的作品中细心去发现。1989年春夏之交,杨应彬重返阔别40多年的十万大山,回忆当年创业艰难,老人不禁感慨:多年不见梧桐树,今朝忽遇梧花雨。
In 1934, a book entitled “Travels of Mr. Little” was published by Shanghai Children’s Book Company on the recommendation of educator Tao Xingzhi. This book was reprinted twelve times before liberation and was listed by the reactionary authorities as “banned ”. The author of the book was a rural kid who was only 13 years old. The boy whom Tao Xingzhi called “Mr. Little” named Yang Yingbin. In 1937, Yang Yingbin was dispatched by the party organization and went to Zhang Fakui headquarters for propaganda, organization, united front, military affairs and underground work of the party. He spent 10 years in Zhang Fakui. In 1949, Yang Yingbin became the chief of staff of the Guangdong-Guangxi border column of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. 15-year-old Chinese Communist Party, silently dedication for decades. Now, when “Mr. Little” is old and left footprints all the way, he can only find out carefully in his works. At the turn of the spring and summer of 1989, Yang Yingbin returned to Shifashan Mountain, which lasted 40 years or so. When he recalled the difficult undertakings of the year, the old man could not help but feel the emotion that he had not seen the plane trees for many years.
