OMA的设计作品——Edouard Malingue画廊,香港第一家专注于现代主义与印象派收藏的画廊,将两个判然有异的环境并置在一起:69.68m2(750平方英尺)的展览空间,一系列彼此贯通的三个房间,收纳在一个从街面上即可望见的铝质体量中;而开放的办公区域则容纳了接待与管理功能,将建筑的原真结构展露出来。三个房间彼此贯通,最大地优化了展览空间,使得参观者有足够的时间和空间凝神省思于个体的艺术作品。包纳这三个房间的铝体量创造出一种盒中盒的概念,满足了审美、氛围、实用等多方面的目的:盒体作为一个客观物体,从其下方的皇后大道中即可仰见;它创生出一种对审美活动的保护与静处的感觉;并允许环境可调控,保证了博物馆在气候、声学与照明诸方面的标准。
OMA’s design work, Edouard Malingue Gallery, Hong Kong’s first gallery dedicated to Modernism and Impressionism, brings together two distinctly different environments: a 69.68m2 (750-square-foot) exhibition space, a series of The three rooms, which run through each other, are housed in an aluminum mass that can be seen from the street; while the open office area accommodates reception and management functions, revealing the original structure of the building. Three rooms through each other, to maximize the optimization of the exhibition space, making visitors have enough time and space to reflect on individual works of art. The amount of aluminum enclosed in these three rooms creates the concept of a box-in-box, fulfilling the aesthetic, ambience, practical, and many other purposes: The box, as an objective object, can be raised from underneath the Queen’s Road See; it creates a sense of protection and quietness of aesthetic activity; and allows the environment to be regulated, ensuring the museum’s standards in climate, acoustics and lighting.
