众所周知.口腔常住菌感染是牙周病的主要原因。因此,最重要的处置是刮治术和根面平整术。常用器械有超声波刮治器,手用刮治器,和旋转声波刮治器。超声被刮治器的优点是短时可除去大量牙石,但对细微的牙石难以除净,且易损伤牙面。手用刮治器最常用,但费时,牙周袋深处的牙石易残留,尤其在根面平整时易损伤牙体组织。旋转声波刮治器使用时疼痛、不适,要在浸润麻醉下进行.六角形工作端易损伤牙面。作者为减少或克服上述缺点,新设计了不锈钢杆状刮治器用于刮治术和根面平整术。
