Dongxin oil field entered super high water cut stage in late 1993, and problems appeared such as seriousshortage of backing sources and production declined year after year. The research on structural system ofoil field fracture, depositional system, development feature and the distribution of remaining oil waslaunched to solve these Problems. In this process, many techniques were developed and completed, suchas progressive exploration & development technique, reservoir description and prediction techniques forfracture transform zone, interactive automatic tracing and plotting in structural low and flat area, loggingrestricted reservoir inversion and elaborate reservoir description techniques, and enhanced the inner andouter exploration. Pertinent injection-production adjustments were taken in old block on the basis ofresearch on remaining oil. The production decline was controlled obviously, and the revived. development balance was realized in 1997. The old field that has been developed for 30 years revived.
