“Listen ” has always been regarded as necessary to learn English skills. At present, many Chinese colleges and universities students’ hearing level is not high. Many students complain of listening class boring, training materials, did not learn to listen, and so on. Some students got high marks in exams but did not understand what foreign guests said in actual communication. English listening is not optimistic. The author, who has been teaching English and Chinese interpreting for many years, thinks that the listening training of English and Chinese interpreters aims at guiding students to catch the meaning and get rid of the word form, which is beneficial to the students’ listening comprehension. Therefore, we try to explore college English listening teaching from the perspective of English-Chinese interpreting teaching, and suggest that college English listening teaching borrow ideas from English-Chinese interpreting teaching in terms of teaching contents, teaching forms and teaching methods.
