The effect of octanol on the purity of benzoic acid hydroxamic acid (BHA) flotation cassiterite was studied. The adsorption mechanism of octanol and BHA on cassiterite surface was analyzed. The results of laboratory flotation experiments showed that single octanol has no flotation on cassiterite in a wide pH range, but as a secondary collector, octanol can significantly reduce the amount of collector BHA and keep cassiterite still Higher recovery.
