在DELP-84WAKASHIO航海观测时,使用Ewing型多道穿透探测仪(multiple-penetration device)在中部冲绳海槽的十七个观测站测得了一批新的热流量值。最引人注目的发现是,在海槽轴线上称为夏岛-84海凹的一个小凹陷区有极高的热流值(约达1600mW/m~2)。在这个凹陷内观察到高而可变的热流值和非线性温度梯度说明该区存在着高水热活动。
A number of new heat flow values were measured at the DELP-84WAKASHIO marine observation site at seventeen stations in the central Okinawa Trough using the Ewing-type multiple-penetration device. The most striking finding is that there is a very high heat flow (about 1600 mW / m 2) in a small depression known as Xiandao-84 sea-head on the trough axis. The high and variable heat flow values observed in this depression and the non-linear temperature gradient suggest that there is high hydrothermal activity in this area.
