Recently, the American Government Association of Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) published the formulation basis for 583 chemical thresholds (TLVs) that are common in the industry and whose toxicity has been largely clear. The preface to the TLV issued by ACGIH states that TLV is the concentration at which most workers repeatedly contact each day without causing detrimental effects. Due to the different sensitivities of individuals, a small number of workers may be discomforted at this concentration, and the former may be deteriorated or occupational diseases may even occur. The ACGIH TLV is less restrictive in that it does not cause mild anesthesia and affects working capacity and therefore requires less. Anger in 1984 produced 588 chemical TLV basis
