唐代中后期宦官集团逐渐成为一支能左右中枢政局的重要政治势力。关于中晚唐宦官势力膨胀的问题早在唐代就已受人们的关注,但囿于思想偏见的限制,传世史籍对于唐代宦官的记载十分有限。近些年来,随着大量宦官墓志的出土,为这一问题的研究提供了不少新的资料。新出土的唐《卫巨论墓志》①中就包含了一些有关宦官家族及唐代使职的相关内容,能起到弥补史籍记载不足的作用。现根据其拓片录文,并对这些方面试作考释,以就教于方家。
