The economic growth in the United States and China is expected to slightly increase this year, and the euro zone will no longer drag on the world economy. It is estimated that the growth rate of China will reach 8% in 2014. The world economic growth will gradually accelerate in 2014. Owing to the alleviation of the two unfavorable factors of the de-leveraging of the private sector and the tightening of the public sector, it is very likely that the world economy will have to shun the shadow of the past two years, especially in the developed countries. In many emerging economies, growth may also be slightly stronger in 2014 than in 2013 as the United States, Europe and China are again contributing to these countries’ export-led growth. The rebound in global growth will be milder, with IHS forecasting a 3.3% increase in 2014 versus 2.5% last year.
