1997年6月中旬，临沂市文化局接到兰山公安分局五里堡派出所的电话，临西一路中段西侧的药材站仓库工地在施工过程中发现古墓葬(图一)。正在金、银雀山进行考古发掘的工作队接到通知后，立即赶赴现场，及时抢救清理了这两座墓葬。
