目前,高等专业音乐教育大致可分为两大类,一是普通院校音乐教育(含师范类、职业教育),另一类是专业音乐院校(音乐学院)的音乐教育,就全国高等音乐专业来说,普通院校的音乐学生总量要大于专业音乐院校,虽然都是音乐专业教育,但它们有着本质的区别,所以,二者在课程设置、专业教学、教学要求上均有各自的特点和不同。
