2013年12月11日,“北方沙地杨树速生丰产林自动化滴灌栽培技术”通过有关部门专家组的成果鉴定。这项由中国林业科学研究院兰再平研究员主持完成的新技术,实现了节水、节肥、节能、高效,在我国北方地区杨树速生丰产林建设和更新改造中具有广阔的推广和应用前景,填补了我国滴灌栽培杨树速生丰产林的技术空白。这项技术首次提出适宜北方沙地培育杨树速生丰产林的自动化滴灌系统配置模式,以及适时、适量的精准灌溉和少量多次的精细施肥方法,创新了在滴灌条件下的杨树扦插造林技术,有效降低了造林成本,提高造林成活率和林木生长量。项目组科研人员制定了北方沙地杨树速生丰产林自动化滴灌栽培技术规程,为我国北方干旱、半干旱地区推广与应用现代化滴灌技术培育杨树速生丰产
