党的十一届三中全会以后,我国进入了以经济建设为中心,实行改革、开放的新时期。对改革、开放头10年(1978—1988)作一下总结,可以看出,这新时期10年,是新闻事业迅速发展的10年,也是新闻界努力探索改革的10年。尽管改革遇到困难不算少,改革步伐不算快,但10年过去再与以前相比,不难发现,中国新闻媒介的功能有了明显的发展,运作上发生了较大的变化。诚然,需要改革和改进的地方仍然不少。
After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, our country has entered a new era of reform and opening up centered on economic construction. To sum up the reform and opening up during the first ten years (1978-1988), we can see that the 10-year period of this new period was 10 years in which journalism was rapidly developing and also a decade in which the media is trying hard to explore reforms. Although the difficulties encountered in the reform are not too few and the pace of reform is not fast, the past 10 years have shown that the functions of the Chinese news media have undergone significant development and have undergone major changes in their operations. It is true that there are still many places that need reform and improvement.
