Objective: Report and describe the results of cochlear implantation in 8 children With Congenital X-Linked Deafness.Methodology: The diagnosis of DFN3 was made in patients on the basis of the radiologie criteria of bilaterally wide aperture extending from internal auditory canal into base of cochlea;an underdeveloped modiolus, a wide cochlear fossette, and the presence of all cochlear turns.A modified facial recess approach was used for cochlear implantation.
