传统观点认为癌是局部组织中细胞自主性异常生长,因此长期以来,对癌症的基础研究大多局限在"癌细胞"层面.机体对癌的系统性调控,尤其是神经和神经递质在其中所起的作用,尚不十分明确.由我国学者顾健人院士提出的"癌症是一种以局部组织异常生长为特征的全身性系统调控失常的疾病"观点,近年来得到了越来越多的实验证据支持.
