In the traditional process,the fermentation process of glutamic acid is characterized by the pH,OD,and dissolved oxygen values [1].The online measurment of pH,OD and dissolved oxygen values is much complexed and needs many expensive equipments [2].By measuring the heat generated in the process,Calorimetric method can be used to monitor the process,e.g.the bacterium yield [3-4].From repeated experiments using 10 L fermentor,it is found that the growth curve of Glutamic acid acquired by calorimetric method agrees well with the results obtained by us before.It is verified that the Calorimetric method is applicable in the measurement of the fermentation process of Glutamic acid.
