Narrow plate-type mierochannels had been used to de-emusificate the kerosene-in-water and water-in-kerosene emulsions which were stabilized with the anionic surfactant (sodium dodecyl sulfate,SDS) and mix nonionic surfactant (Tween80 and Span80) through electrostatic repulsive force and steric hindrance,respectively.The emulsions with different Sauter diameters of 5 μm and 10 μm were formed by high-shear homogenization method and passed through microchannels with clearances of 100 μm to 200 μm.
