Human chemokine receptors are integral membrane proteins that specifically bind and respond to cytokines of the chemokine family.They belong to a large protein family,the G-protein coupled receptors(GPCRs),which are the most exploited drug targets that count for over 50% US marketed therapeutics.However,human chemokine receptors have remained largely unexploited compared to other members of the GPCRs family;we hence direct our cheminformatic efforts on the whole chemokine receptorome.
