  A recombinant buTanol pathway composed of Clostridium acetobutylicum ATCC 824 genes, thiL, hbd, crt, bcd-etfB-etfA, and adhe coding for acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase (THL),β-hydroxybutyryl-CoA dehydrogenase(HBD), 3-hydroxybutyryl-CoA dehydratase(CRT), butyryl-CoA dehydrogenase (BCD) , and butanol dehydrogenase(BDH), under the trc promoter control was constructed and was transferred to Escherichia coli (JM109, AFPlll and DL1346).The result of fermentation in Screw-capped bottles showed that the recombinant Escherichia coli DL1346-99d yielded the highest butanol concertration of 0.52g/L.Moreover, in anaerobic batch fermentaion, 1.07 g/L of butanol was achieved in 48h by engineering strain DL1346-99d.Butanol production; Clostridium acetobutylicum; Escherichia coli.
