At RMIT University there are numerous pathways from vocational education into university education,and between university courses,that enable students to improve their career prospects and to be "work ready" graduates,contributing to scientific,environmental,economic and social development.This paper will describe the RMIT model and provide examples.It will also discuss some of the strategies associated with such a model including the Work Integrated Learning policy,study abroad opportunities and study skill support for students.
