Nanomaterials are excellent carriers for drugs,genes and proteins in disease diagnosis and therapy.Nano-therapeutics or imaging agents are often fabricated to target specific cancer-associated and overexpressed receptors on cell surfaces.These fine-tuning nanocarriers show excellent targeting efficacy both in vitro and in vivo.When nanomaterials entered the blood stream,serum proteins are adsorbed to their surface.Protein adsorption changes the properties of nanoparticles,such as size,surface chemistry,zeta potentials,and aggregation status,leading to a change in the way nanoparticles recognize and interact with cells.
