The Study of Applying the Multi-text Teaching on Sex Education in 6th-grade Students

  This study aims to explore the influences for childrens sexual knowledge and sexual attitude when the studyapply multi-text teaching.The study took "physiological changes in puberty" and "where am I from?" as the teachingtopics.The teaching activities of the study include multi-text selection,discussion and feedback of the task working-sheets,and the interaction between teachers and students.There was 55.1%male students and 44.9%female students whoparticipated in the study,and totally 127 Taiwanese sixth graders involved in the study.The study did pretest and posttestabout shy feeling,attitude and knowledge of the topic.This study used SPSS 23.0 to reliability analysis,validity analysis,and paired-samples t-test with and used VirtualPLS to path analysis.The study results showed:(1)The multi-text teachingmethod can be applied to the sex education curriculum,and it can effectively reduce the shyness of the sixth grade studentsin the related issues and enhance the correct knowledge and attitude of the students.(2)The shyness degree to the sexualtopic of the students before class was positively related with their association abilities.(3)The better students associatewith the sexual topic,the higher are their interests to explore sex.(4)Students attitude to explore the sexual topic canpositively affect their interests to the curriculum.
