  Purpose: To introduce our some experience applying a new spade-like electrode in TUEB.method:(1)There were 37 cases of TUEB in the group.(2)Plasma-Kinatic System(Scan MED)and endoscope system was used.(3)SCAN-MED blade-like electrode and loop-like electrode were used.(4)Vedio system and working station were used.First near Nesbit white line the mucous membrane of the urethra was cut with blade-like electrode using "backhand stroke" technique,thus the surgical capsule was recognized and displayed.By intruding the tip of sheath into the potential clearance between the adenoma and the surgical capsule and wiggling it carefully,the apex of the adenoma was dissected and enucleated from the extemal sphincter muscle.The urethral crest was cut off and the dissected cavity was enlarged continually with blade-like electrode until closing bladder neck.At 3′~5′ and 7′~9′ of bladder neck between the adenoma and the surgical capsule the adenoma was dissected up sequentially and carefully until the submucosa of the mucous membrane of bladder.At this time the mucous membrane of bladder was cut and the cavity of bladder was entered.The adenoma was dissected in a circle at the bladder neck and anchored at the anterior commissure of the prostate,and the urethral branches of the prostatic artery was blocked fully.The bloodless adenoma tissue was resected fast with loop-like electrode instead of spade-like electrode.Result: Only one spade-like electrode and two loop-like electrode were used in the group.The spade-like electrode may enter into a narrow clearance to dissect and stanch well and truly.Conclusion: Comparing with applying the loop-like electrode to dissect the adenoma in the previous TUEB,because the shape of the spade-like electrode was based on the design of the mechanics,the waste of the spade-like electrode was decreased obviously and the action of the electrode was credible more and it was more convenient for dissecting well and truly in TUEB applying the spade-like electrode.
