There are still many problems in national vocal music teaching in China. Many students who study national vocal music don’t articulate and pronounce properly and teachers also haven’t paid attention to that, which makes the problem in how to pronounce and articulate in the singing of national vocal music more and more serious and has greatly affected the teaching quality of national vocal music and brought negative influence on the development of the traditional national vocal music culture. Therefore, it’s of great significance to adopt a scientific and reasonable teaching method. This paper will specifically introduce the "thirteen trace" pronunciation method to understand its application in the teaching of national vocal music and its practical value in articulation and pronunciation of national vocal music and analyze the guiding role played by the "thirteen rhymes" pronunciation method during the teaching of national vocal music from different aspects.
