We have developed a technical platform composing a high density peptide array and a computer algorithms that can be used to screen, identify, and design peptides for specific targeting in a high through-put fashion.Using this technique,we have successfully laid-out many specific domains, proteins and even entire virus open-reading frames. Those peptide arrays have been used for mapping an entire protein to identify binding domains for specific target molecules such as phosphorylation sites for kinases and receptor binding sites for ligands, etc.Example 1.Peptide array mapping for SARS antibody epitopes: We have also used this technique to generate a peptide containing entire SARS virus open-reading frames. This SARS array has been successfully used for mapping epitopes specific for SARS antibodies from SARS patients.
