  To date,the published information on trans fatty acids (TFAs) in food products in China is scarce and of questionable accuracy without proper validation.Due to its on a purely voluntary basis.97 most popular foods of Chinese market,including 6 cheese samples,10 chocolate samples,10 crisps,chips and fries samples,10 ice cream samples,15 margarine samples,10 pie and cake samples,8 sauce and dressing samples,19 wafer and biscuit samples,and 9 Chinese-style snack samples,were analyzed for fat content and fatty acid composition withparticular emphasis on trans fatty acids.
