It is imperative to strengthen the communication and integration of modern sports spirit and Chinese traditional sports culture in order that Chinese sports will not lose itself in the process of sports globalization. The purpose of this paper is to study the integration of Chinese traditional sports culture and modern sports spirit. Through the analysis of relevant data, it is concluded that the profound Chinese traditional sports culture can provide a broader development space for the contemporary modern sports spirit, and the modern sports spirit needs the nourishment and support of Chinese traditional culture. At the same time, modern sports spirit also provides a huge platform for the development of Chinese traditional sports culture. The combination and complementation of the two lays the foundation for the realization of the "win-win" of Chinese traditional sports culture and modern sports spirit. By using the methods of literature, comparative analysis and logical reasoning, combined with the current situation of Chinese traditional sports culture, this paper analyzes the reference function of modern sports spirit to Chinese traditional sports culture from the level of system and rules, and expounds the communication and data fusion technology between modern sports spirit and Chinese Traditional Sports ethics. The modern sports spirit and Chinese traditional sports culture are sublimated from materiality to human nature, so as to establish a new people-oriented sports ethics, that is, school sports should strengthen physical education, mass sports should keep fit and educate people, and competitive sports should win the championship. The results show that 106 teachers think it is necessary to fully integrate the advantages of Chinese traditional culture to develop campus sports spiritual culture, accounting for 62% of the total number of experts.
