Viroids are the smallest known plant pathogens and can infect many plants.Coleus blumei, which was originally found in Indonesia, is an ornamental plant grown worldwide, and both its stem and leaf are known to be succulent.Up to now, 6 main viroids that infect coleus have been reported : Coleus blumei viroid 1-6 (CbVd 1-6), and all of the known coleus viroids share a common central conserved region (CCR).
