Wheat plants showing dark green and dwarfing symptoms were collected from Baoding,Hebei province and preserved in an insect-proofing greenhouse.The virus was transmitted to maize by the planthopper vector Laodelphax striatellus, the infected plants appeared dwarfed with white tumors along the veins on the abaxial leaf surface, the typical symptom of maize rough dwarf disease.
