Ordered Mesoporous Carbon as Stable Carrier for Nanocatalysts

Nanocatalysts are very promising in energy and environmental science.However, the new features come with new problems like thermal stability.Carbon supports for nanocatalysts possess advantages for stable structure.Parameters to control in nanocatalysts supported on carbon include particle composition, size and shape, support composition and pore size distribution, organizational structure of the porous network.Herein we introduce several examples of soft-templating supported ordered mesoporous carbon heterogeneous nanocatalysts, with focus on establishing the general strategy; investigating the growth of metal and oxide nanoparticles confined in nanoporous framework, as well as the electron chemistry, and exploring the structure-performance relationship in some processes that are closely related to the energy and environment research.
