Tremendous demands for electrochemical biosensors with high sensitivity and reliability, fast response, and excellent selectivity have stimulated intensive research on the development of versatile materials with ultrahigh electrocatalytic activity [1].Here we demonstrate flexible and self-supported microelectrodes with a coaxial solid/nanoporous Au/cobalt oxide hybrid structure for electrochemical nonenzymatic blood sugar biosensors.
