Background Cytochrome P450 2J2 epoxygenase (CYP2J2) converts arachidonic acid into four regioisomeric epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs), which exert multiple protective effects on the cardiovascular system.However, little is known about the effects of CYP2J2 on cardiac fibrosis, a major cause of diastolic dysfunction and heart failure.The present study assessed the effects of CYP2J2 on cardiac fibrosis.
