Study found that excessive amounts of ROS promote apoptosis, and has become one of new cancer therapeutic strategies.Kronopolites svenhedind (Verhoeff) (KSV) has shown potent anticancer activities on many types of human cancer in the Chinese folk.Our previous studies demonstrated that its petroleum ether extract prompted liposomal peroxidation and accelerated oxidative damage to genomic DNA of HeLa, but the underlying mechanism remain poorly understood especially oxidation and apoptosis.
