It is with this feature that Synthetic Aperture Radar (GPS) has the capability to map the ground around the clock, and is widely used in the space-to-Earth mode of modern fighter radar, which provides information for wide-area reconnaissance and aiming of aircraft stand by. The U.S. AN / APG-65 radar was developed by Hughes for McDonnell Douglas F / A-18A, B fighter aircraft. This radar provides both real beam ground mapping modes plus two Doppler beam sharpening modes. The Doppler beam sharpening resolution is 19: 1 and 67: 1, respectively. In the 1990s the improved version of this radar was installed in the United States Marine Corps, Italy and Spain
