2001年9月,由于工作出色,李瑞林被国家体育总局任命为青岛航校校长。同一年北京申奥成功,青岛获得2008年奥运会帆船比赛承办权。从2002年开始筹备到2007年5月竣工验收,近5年来,李瑞林把帆船基地建设作为各项工作的重中之重,亲自带领学校奥运工程项目部人员,与一线工人一道奋斗在工地。本着“阳光工程、廉洁奥运”的要求,通过全校上下和所有参建人员共同努力,圆满完成了“帆船基地”建设任务。
September 2001, due to work well, Li Ruilin was appointed by the General Administration of Sport Qingdao Airlines School principals. The same year, Beijing’s successful bid for the Olympic Games, Qingdao won the bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games. From the beginning of preparation in 2002 to the completion of inspection and acceptance in May 2007, Li Ruilin took the construction of a sailing ship base as the most important task in the past five years and personally led the personnel in the Olympic project project department of the school to work together with front-line workers at the site. In line with the requirements of “Sunshine Project, Clean Olympics”, through the joint efforts of all staff members and all levels of the school, the construction task of “Sailing Base” has been successfully completed.
