The outbreak of the Wuchang Uprising on October 10, 1911, the supporters of media circles who shouted flags and the opposition of those voicing their voices of doubt caused various reasons for this phenomenon. The attitude of the newspaper of the North, “Ta Kung Pao,” to the revolution, its daily coverage during the Revolution of 1911 and the essay-writing activities of “solving the constitutional monarchy’s constitutional problems” show a clear picture even after the nation has responded to the uprising At the close of the day, the “Ta Kung Pao”, under the auspices of the British Centralists, still adhered to the consistent ideal of constitutional monarchy. Prize essay is not only an effective way to interact between the newspaper and the society, but also serves as another way for the newspaper to guide the public opinion and disseminate its own ideas.
