佘田桥乡在邵东县的东南方,东面有蛇湖山,西边有光大塘山。蒸水从南經过中部向东流。全乡有水田約3,200亩,土貭为白砂泥、火砂泥、黄沙泥、沙泥及凼夹泥等,其中以白砂泥与凼夹泥所占比例较大(根据1958年邵东土壤普查材料)。該乡农民有利用水稻收割后种植蔬菜的习惯与丰富經驗。其中以佘田桥社、湖东社出产的荸荠;五里牌社的萝卜产量高,品质好,不但畅销本地,并远运至上海等处。
She Tianqiao Township in the southeast of Shaodong County, east of Snake Lake Hill, western light Datangshan. Steam flows east from south through the middle. The township has about 3,200 acres of paddy fields, soil 貭 white sand mud, fire sand mud, yellow sand mud, sand mud and Taipa mud and so on, of which white mud and Taipa mud accounted for a larger proportion (according to 1958 Shaodong soil census material). The rural peasants have the habit and rich experience in using rice to plant vegetables after harvesting. Among them, Shetian Bridge Club and Hudong Industrial Co., Ltd. produce water chestnuts; Wuli Licun has high yield and good quality of radish, which is not only sold well in Hong Kong, but also exported to places such as Shanghai.
