In design work, there are several methods that can be used to calculate stormwater runoff. The common reasoning method is to determine the maximum flow rate given a certain frequency of storm intensity-duration relationship and confluence time of the studied watershed. The flow process line method is superior in providing the process of runoff over time and further superimposing the runoff of each sub-catchment. However, the use of these methods requires more additional information, especially the details of the storm distribution.
