AIM: To investigate the role of signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT3) in cardiac hypertrophy induced by α1-adrenoceptor (α1-AR) and its signal transduction mechanism. Methods: Cardiac hypertrophy model was established by infusion of phenylephrine (PE) with micro-osmotic pump. Cardiac hypertrophy model was established by echocardiography and histological sections.
