近年来,意大利杨树无性系在湖北省发展很快,面积近百万亩,地域达30多个县。在栽培过程中,由于各地立地条件的不同,生长表现差异较大。为探明杨树各品种生态环境的要求和适宜程度,经过定点试验及对全省主要栽培点杨树生长情况与立地条件的调查,并经室内的测试分析,初步得出了杨树与水分、土壤质地以及矿质菅养水平之间的关系,为湖北省发展意杨提供了科学依据。
